Software Engineer, Emerging Product - USDS (C/C++)

Location: Seattle, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

Salary: $129,960–$246,240 annually, with potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade, highly concurrent core services.
• Improve system reliability, application performance, and efficiency under heavy load.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate services with monitoring and logging tools.
• Participate in technical design reviews, address technical debt, and define architecture for long-term growth.
• Build and scale foundational services for emerging products in the U.S. market.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline, with industry experience.
• At least 1 year of experience as a software engineer and proven contributions to team-based projects.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Ability to work fully in person in Seattle, up to 5 days per week.

Nice to have

• Deep knowledge of distributed systems and concurrent programming.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
