Senior Full-stack Engineer, AI Data Application – USDS (AI)

Location: Seattle, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

Salary: $177,688–$341,734 annually, plus potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship end-to-end internal web applications from wireframes through production.
• Develop user-facing AI tools, including conversational data assistants, natural language SQL interfaces, and intelligent workflow automation.
• Replace manual processes and engineering bottlenecks with polished self-service products.
• Establish UI/UX best practices for reliable, consumer-grade internal tools.
• Collaborate with backend platform engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of software development experience shipping full-stack products in production.
• Strong experience with React, Vue, or an equivalent modern frontend framework.
• Experience building APIs and services with Python, Go, Node, or Java.
• Practical knowledge of databases, caching, and service integration.
• Availability for a fully in-person work schedule in Seattle, up to 5 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating LLM APIs, RAG pipelines, or agentic workflows into user-facing products.
• Experience building internal platforms, dashboards, workflow tools, data explorers, or reporting applications at scale.
• Experience with Figma or similar design tools.
• Product-minded technical leadership, 0-to-1 initiative ownership, and mentoring experience.
