Infrastructure Platform Engineering Specialist (Kubernetes/OpenShift): Designing, operating, and continuously improving secure, resilient, and automated Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms for containerised and virtualised workloads with an accent on infrastructure automation, observability, and Zero Touch Operations. Focus on platform lifecycle management, security and compliance controls, reliability engineering, disaster recovery, and AI-enabled operational improvements.

What you will do
- Deploy, operate, scale, upgrade, and maintain Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms across production and non-production environments.
- Develop infrastructure automation and repeatable operational workflows using Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform, GitOps, and scripting.
- Implement platform security controls, RBAC, vulnerability management, image governance, compliance monitoring, hardening, and configuration consistency.
- Maintain monitoring, alerting, logging, dashboards, backup, and recovery capabilities to improve reliability and service continuity.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, and application teams to improve platform services, CI/CD, self-service consumption, and deployment practices.
- Identify and implement automation and AI-enabled operational improvements that deliver measurable business outcomes.
Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Three-year bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technology field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Kubernetes, and OpenShift Virtualization.
- Experience with Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform, GitOps, or similar infrastructure automation tooling.
- Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, lifecycle management, virtualization, networking, storage, scheduling, troubleshooting, and platform operations.
- Knowledge of Linux, containers, registries, CI/CD, platform security, reliability, observability, backup, disaster recovery, and enterprise production operations.
Nice to have
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator (EX280).
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- AI-enabled leadership and delivery experience.
