Entry Level Physical Properties Technician

Location: Maplewood, Minnesota, United States; onsite laboratory work

Compensation: $22.00 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare test samples for adhesive products and other solid materials.
• Test tensile and shear strength, bond strength, density, viscosity, and other mechanical properties.
• Operate precision measurement tools and electronic laboratory equipment.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and assist with laboratory maintenance.
• Record and maintain testing information in Excel spreadsheets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a similar laboratory science.
• Experience working in a laboratory with precision measurement tools and electronic equipment.
• Experience creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets.
• Strong communication, organization, observation, and task-management skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience using common hand tools.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
