What you will do
- Perform substation design, CADD work, modeling, analysis, field reviews, and technical documentation for moderately complex to highly complex projects.
- Prepare one-line diagrams, general arrangements, sections, grounding and conduit plans, foundation plans, material lists, relay and control schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform calculations, reports, and designs for low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical substations and related systems.
- Apply client standards, engineering criteria, discipline codes, and specifications while completing projects with engineering review as needed.
- Coordinate with project managers, project engineers, and client personnel.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to other team members.
Requirements
- Technical degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- At least 10 years of related industry experience.
- Advanced proficiency with 3D design software, document management infrastructure, and 3D coordination tools.
- Competency with Microsoft Office products and communication tools.
- Advanced understanding of engineering or architectural concepts and knowledge of industry standards, discipline codes, and specifications.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, organizational, leadership, and mentoring skills.
