Software Development Engineer II (Go)

Location: Spokane Valley, United States; work may be performed in a normal office or remote home-office environment.

Annual base pay: $115,200–$172,800.

What you will do

• Design, code, test, debug, and deploy platform and system software features and APIs.
• Develop feature code together with unit and functional tests for larger software components.
• Design and implement new functionality with minimal supervision.
• Participate in design and code reviews to maintain feature quality and system stability.
• Collaborate with software engineers on technical design, development practices, and team-oriented projects.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar field, or 3+ years of equivalent professional experience.
• Professional coding experience in Go and Python; Go is highly preferred.
• Understanding of networking concepts and the OSI model.
• Experience with Linux, scripting languages, Docker, Docker Compose, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience interfacing with system hardware and firmware interfaces.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written communication, and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerized development workflows and modern IDEs such as VS Code or GoLand.
• Experience using generative AI to optimize coding and software development workflows.
