Manager, Asia Finance Operations & Systems (AI)

Location: Hong Kong; the role supports finance operations across offices in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, Sydney, Seoul, Mumbai, and Singapore.

What you will do

• Act as the regional subject-matter expert for Asia finance processes, systems, integrations, and data flows connected to global platforms.
• Identify and apply generative AI, prompt engineering, agent workflows, SQL, and BI to improve finance workflows.
• Design, build, and maintain Power Platform, Appian, and other low-code/no-code automations, integrations, and data transformations.
• Use Python, SQL, and VBA to develop solutions beyond low-code capabilities, creating reusable automation components and documentation.
• Lead requirements definition, functional specifications, user stories, UAT, and small-to-medium regional initiatives through deployment and stabilization.
• Partner with Asia end-users and US FPO/GTS, support financial close cycles, resolve production issues, and drive training and change adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in finance operations, business systems, techno-functional roles, or process improvement with Asia-Pacific exposure.
• Hands-on experience with Power Platform or Appian, plus working coding ability in Python, SQL, or VBA.
• Demonstrated application of AI tools to business problems and experience with financial systems such as accounting, ERP, or treasury platforms.
• Knowledge of GST, withholding taxes, multi-currency operations, cross-border processes, and local statutory and regulatory reporting across Asia.
• Fluent written and spoken English is required; fluent Cantonese and Mandarin are strongly preferred. Advanced Excel, analytical skills, requirements writing, agile delivery, and stakeholder management experience are also required.

Nice to have

• Background in private equity or alternative investment operations.
• Experience with mainland Chinese AI tools, Sigma Computing, Power BI, Jira, or similar platforms.
