TL;DR

What you will do
- Formulate construction products and design, conduct, and validate analytical tests and chemical experiments.
- Evaluate raw materials, perform competitive testing, and support new product development.
- Provide technical support for field complaints, product inconsistencies, quality control, and field trials.
- Prepare production batching formulas and support scale-up through full commercialization.
- Analyze and document results, prepare technical presentations and formal project reports.
- Write laboratory work instructions and mentor new and junior team members.
Requirements
- BS degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Polymer Science, or a relevant Engineering discipline.
- 8+ years of construction materials formulation experience with a record of successful new product development, scientific report writing, and mentoring.
- Experience formulating products in a construction-industry R&D laboratory.
- Knowledge of analytical chemistry, product development, quality control, ISO processes, design of experiments, and statistical methods.
- Experience researching patents, writing invention disclosures, and preparing industry publications.
- Ability to lift and push/pull 50 pounds and spend at least 50% of the day standing and 50% sitting.
Nice to have
- MS degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience working with Production/Operations, Product Management, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, and cross-functional teams.
