Game Mathematician (iGaming)

What you will do

• Design and develop mathematical models for slot and crash games, including RTP, volatility, hit frequency, paytables, reel strips, multiplier curves, and house edge.
• Model and balance free spins, multipliers, Hold & Win features, jackpots, Buy Feature mechanics, and cash-out mechanics.
• Build Monte Carlo simulation tools to validate game mathematics across millions or billions of rounds.
• Verify math models, RNG, and outcome logic with developers, including statistically sound and provably fair crash-point generation where applicable.
• Prepare mathematical documentation, support certification with testing labs and regulators, and analyze live-game performance.
• Investigate production issues involving payouts, RTP, rounding, and edge cases.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of probability, statistics, combinatorics, distributions, expected value, and variance.
• Experience with slot and crash game mathematics, including reel strips, symbol weighting, paytables, feature frequency, multiplier curves, and house edge.
• Proficiency in Monte Carlo simulations and mathematical modeling with Python and/or C#.
• Ability to visualize models and progressions in Python using libraries such as Matplotlib.
• Knowledge of RNG and provably fair mechanisms, including hash-based seeds, HMAC, and verification; familiarity with Excel/Google Sheets and basic SQL.
• 2–4 years of experience as a Game Mathematician, Quant, or in a similar role, ideally with slots, crash, or instant-win games.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with UKGC, MGA, Curaçao, and other gaming certification requirements.
• Understanding of real-money and FinTech requirements, including transaction integrity, auditability, and financial accuracy.
• Experience explaining complex mathematical concepts visually to non-technical stakeholders.
