Machine Learning Engineer Graduate (Recommendations and Search)

Location: Seattle R&D; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

Salary: $100,320–$177,840 annually, with potential additional bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Design, build, train, and evaluate machine learning models for recommendation systems and search ranking.
• Develop pipelines for feature extraction, model training, evaluation, deployment, and A/B testing.
• Process large-scale user behavior data and catalog logs with distributed systems to create real-time and offline features.
• Optimize online inference latency and throughput for high-QPS production microservices.
• Run continuous A/B tests, analyze online metrics, identify bottlenecks, and iterate on models.

Requirements

• Completing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, computer systems, and software design.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of machine learning.
• Ability to commit to an onboarding date by the end of 2027; graduation date and availability must be stated in the resume.
• Ability to work fully in person in Seattle up to 5 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with recommendation systems, online advertising, information retrieval, natural language processing, machine learning, or large-scale data mining.
• Publications in relevant machine learning and information retrieval conferences or journals.
• Participation in data mining or machine learning competitions such as Kaggle or KDD Cup.
