Software Engineer, E-commerce Supply Chain and Logistics (USDS)

Location: San Jose, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

Salary: $136,800–$259,200 annually, with potential additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Develop efficient, highly scalable, and secure services for domestic and TikTok Shop E-commerce logistics systems.
• Build and integrate logistics services supporting the supply chain and delivery ecosystem.
• Optimize backend systems for data security, modularity, computational efficiency, and scalability.
• Apply engineering excellence practices across product engineering disciplines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming and System Analysis, Computer Studies, or a related discipline.
• Experience developing highly scalable backend services and systems with at least one of Java, Golang, Python, or C++.
• Strong software programming skills, code design, and coding style.
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithm design and analysis, networking, data security, and highly scalable systems design.
• Knowledge of common databases and messaging frameworks such as MySQL, Redis, and Kafka.
• Ability to work fully in person in San Jose, with on-site presence up to 5 days per week.

• Experience with logistics, transportation, or delivery technology.
