TL;DR
Lead Software Engineer (Python/JavaScript): Building and scaling distributed B2B2C platforms, APIs, data pipelines, and resilient integrations supporting global music business capabilities with an accent on software architecture, reliability, and high-volume systems. Focus on designing microservices, modernizing platforms, troubleshooting complex production issues, and mentoring engineers through technical leadership.
Location: Europe, Estonia, Tallinn; UK & Ireland, United Kingdom, London. Hybrid work in the London office: 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

What you will do
- Lead the technical design and implementation of scalable software solutions for global B2B2C platforms.
- Define architecture across distributed systems, APIs, data pipelines, microservices, and platform services.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical solutions with Product, Operations, and business stakeholders.
- Write maintainable, well-tested code and establish engineering standards, coding practices, and development processes.
- Design resilient services and integrations while improving application reliability, performance, observability, and operational excellence.
- Mentor engineers, lead architecture reviews and modernization initiatives, manage technical debt, and troubleshoot complex production issues.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including distributed systems and scalable system design.
- Strong experience with Python and JavaScript; experience building frontend applications with TypeScript and React.
- Experience with databases and query technologies including Snowflake, MySQL, Neo4j, Kafka, and OpenSearch.
- Experience designing microservices and APIs using REST, HTTP, and OAuth, plus familiarity with AWS cloud technologies.
- Experience with log analysis, monitoring, unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing.
- Strong communication, systems thinking, Agile experience, and the ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers without direct people management responsibility.
