Cleveland Internal Audit and Financial Advisory Intern (Technology Audit) - 2027

Location: Cleveland, United States; hybrid model with in-person work in the local office and on client sites. Local or out-of-state travel may be required, and interns must be available to work in the designated location during business hours throughout the internship.

Hourly rate: $28–$38 per hour.

What you will do

• Collaborate with client teams to deliver internal audit and financial advisory solutions for complex business challenges.
• Analyze business processes, identify and mitigate emerging risks, and support regulatory and compliance objectives.
• Assess technology controls and risks across cybersecurity, AI, data governance, cloud, privacy, software development, and technology resilience.
• Handle and interpret data in multiple formats to identify insights and develop actionable conclusions.
• Support control testing, corporate governance, audit objectives, automation, and process improvement initiatives.
• Work across industries and participate in training, internal initiatives, and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, computer science, data science, engineering, finance, information systems, information technology, management information systems, or a related discipline.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for hirify.global without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be within one year of final graduation at the time of the internship and at least 18 years old.
• Proficiency in applying AI tools to analytical and research tasks, such as Microsoft Copilot or generative AI.
• Advanced verbal and written communication, critical thinking, analytical, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Technical proficiency relevant to the assigned capability area, including data analysis, Microsoft Office, Power BI, software development fundamentals, or automation technologies.

Nice to have

• Understanding of internal audit processes, frameworks, emerging technologies, and audit objectives.
• Experience with Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform, Python, or data visualization tools.
• Interest in advanced analytics and automation technologies.
• Progress toward professional certifications and a strong academic background.
