Cluster Manager - Environment Testing

What you will do

• Lead the strategic, operational, and technical management of the Environmental Testing business line in Croatia.
• Oversee daily laboratory operations for water, wastewater, soil, sediment, and environmental monitoring services.
• Manage resource planning, capacity, workflows, operational KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead investments in laboratory equipment, technology, and infrastructure.
• Ensure timely analytical results and reports while maintaining service quality and supporting financial targets.
• Develop a high-performing laboratory team and ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• University degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Agronomy, or a related natural science.
• 7–10+ years of experience in environmental testing laboratories, including 2–5+ years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven experience in water testing, soil and sediment analysis, and environmental chemistry.
• Experience managing laboratory operations, budgets, and teams.
• Strong understanding of ISO/IEC 17025, Good Laboratory Practices, quality management systems, environmental monitoring programs, and LIMS.
• Business-fluent English and Croatian, written and spoken, are required. Knowledge of Croatian environmental legislation and EU environmental regulations is also required.
