Software Engineer (AI Music)

Location: In-person at offices in Cambridge, NYC, or Los Angeles; applicants must be eligible to work in the US.

Salary: $228,000–$363,000 annual salary plus target equity and benefits.

Suno is an AI music and creative entertainment company building products that help people create and experience music, including the live-music and ticketing product Songkick.

What you will do

• Own parts of the Songkick product end to end across backend services, mobile applications, data pipelines, and notification systems.
• Lead the technical integration of Songkick into Suno in collaboration with engineering, product, general management, and music teams.
• Architect data aggregation systems that ingest, normalize, score, and consolidate touring and event data from dozens of sources.
• Evaluate the established codebase and decide what to preserve, modernize, or retire.
• Design APIs consumed by mobile clients and collaborate with the teams building on top of them.
• Help shape the engineering roadmap, practices, and live-music discovery experience.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of software engineering experience with a strong hands-on coding focus.
• End-to-end ownership mindset and experience working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Startup experience shipping quickly and iterating on products.
• Strong API design experience working with iOS, Android, or other mobile teams.
• Experience with modern agentic coding workflows, including end-to-end testing harnesses and clear success criteria.
• Eligibility to work in the US and willingness to work in person at a Cambridge, NYC, or Los Angeles office.

Nice to have

• Experience ingesting and normalizing data from 20 or more sources, applying source reliability scoring and survivorship rules.
• Strong SQL, NoSQL, data modeling, and large-scale system architecture experience.
• Experience tuning web, Android, or iOS performance metrics.
• Experience building or retrofitting design systems.
• Hands-on experience with React Native or Ruby on Rails, and email or push notification systems.
