Purchasing Group Lead (Robotics)

What you will do

• Lead the purchasing team functionally and disciplinarily.
• Own operational and strategic procurement for an assigned category.
• Develop sourcing strategies and identify, evaluate, and develop national and international suppliers.
• Lead price, contract, and commercial negotiations while ensuring supply availability, quality, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, and Finance on procurement and make-or-buy decisions.
• Build scalable procurement processes, KPI-based performance management, and supply chain risk controls while developing the team.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Several years of strategic procurement experience, ideally in a technical or industrial environment.
• First or solid leadership experience with complex supplier structures and international sourcing markets.
• Strong negotiation skills, analytical and business-oriented thinking, and a structured, solution-oriented working style.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to align multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent German and English required.

Nice to have

• Experience in robotics, automotive, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and data-driven procurement controlling.
• Experience building or scaling procurement organizations in growing companies.
