Operations Manager (Logistics)

What you will do

• Supervise inventory receipt, storage, order filling, picking, loading, and outbound distribution activities.
• Lead, motivate, and communicate with distribution associates while fostering collaborative department operations.
• Recruit, train, develop, and evaluate associates; plan short-term staffing coverage and resource allocation.
• Monitor productivity and accuracy, conduct performance discussions, and recommend salary reviews.
• Administer safety programs and policies, ensure OSHA compliance, and maintain a healthy warehouse environment.
• Assist management with problem-solving, project coordination, and operational decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience in a production, logistics, or business-to-business distribution facility, including two years of supervisory experience.
• Business, engineering, logistics, or distribution management education is preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, decision-making, planning, organization, and employee management skills.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, warehouse management systems, inventory control processes, shipping, receiving, and quantitative methods.
• Ability to perform some heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for prolonged periods.
