Senior Software Engineer, Recommendations - USDS

Location: Seattle, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

Salary: $177,688–$341,734 annually, with potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Build and maintain high-performance online services for TikTok's recommendation system.
• Develop reliable data pipelines for candidate generation, profile generation, training-example generation, and real-time online training.
• Build large-scale, globalized recommendation systems.
• Design and develop high-performance computing frameworks and storage systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience building scalable systems.
• Programming experience in C, C++, Java, or Golang.
• Ability to work on-site in Seattle, with in-person attendance up to 5 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with personalized recommendations, search engines, machine learning, distributed storage systems, or big data frameworks.
