Facilities Manager Central Utilities (Energy & Utilities)

Location: Beerse, Antwerp, Belgium; on-site role managing facilities at the Beerse site

Base pay: €79,800–€137,770 annually, plus an annual bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Drive the safe, efficient daily operation and follow-up of Central Utilities facilities.
• Act as system owner for the technical installations within scope and resolve issues affecting safety, environment, sustainability, quality, cost, and reliability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors, work preparers, technicians, and operators.
• Maintain high-quality, reliable, and compliant technical operations and participate in SEVESO and PSM audits and inspections.
• Manage key on-site energy sources, including geothermal energy, and support site sustainability objectives.
• Prepare the annual OPEX budget and manage the Central Utilities CAPEX portfolio, including project prioritization, scheduling, and spend tracking.

Requirements

• University or bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• At least five years of managerial experience in a sophisticated operational environment, including operations and process management, process improvement, project management, engineering, and cost management.
• At least five years of work experience, preferably in utilities, maintenance, or the process industry.
• Broad knowledge of facilities management, energy and utilities, and water systems.
• Inspiring leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and empower people.
• Good written and oral communication skills in Dutch and English are required. Understanding AI concepts and frameworks, responsible AI practices, and effective prompting is also required.

Nice to have

• Experience managing outsourced activities.
• Knowledge of Johnson & Johnson’s FPX methodology, CMMS systems such as eStream, and compliant systems such as Comet and Truvault.
• Manufacturing Asset Management Certified status.
