What you will do
- Coordinate the design, development, and maintenance of the logistics system.
- Schedule, dispatch, cover, and trace inbound and outbound freight, including expedited shipments.
- Monitor routes, lanes, and shipments for service-provider compliance and conformance.
- Communicate with carriers, maintain strong working relationships, and identify performance opportunities.
- Support the maintenance and implementation of long-term agreements with carrier partners.
- Assist with requirements development, quote packages, data gathering, bid evaluation, and analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong organization, follow-through, attention to detail, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple competing requirements and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Experience with web-based applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Nice to have
- Logistics experience in the manufacturing industry.
