Leader IT Outsourcing Procurement

Location: Zurich, Switzerland; hybrid work with an expectation to be in the office at least three days per week

Base salary: CHF 122,000–184,000 per year, plus performance-based variable compensation

What you will do

• Define and execute end-to-end sourcing strategy across application development and maintenance, infrastructure operations, and IT services.
• Partner with IT leadership to optimize the external vendor mix, rationalize the supplier base, and improve tool and product utilization.
• Build trusted relationships with business partners and suppliers and lead high-stakes commercial negotiations.
• Lead and develop the IT Outsourcing Procurement and Sourcing Execution team.
• Coordinate with procurement peers to maximize enterprise-wide value and mitigate supply chain risk.
• Define and report KPIs, embed governance and compliance, and drive continuous procurement transformation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT Outsourcing experience, including offshore and nearshore sourcing.
• Strong market knowledge across application development and maintenance, infrastructure operations, and IT services.
• Industry experience in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services is required.
• Experience developing pragmatic procurement strategies and collaborating with business stakeholders, suppliers, and executive leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, IT, or a scientific or technical field.
• Strong financial acumen, including total cost of ownership modelling, business case development, and cost optimization.

Nice to have

• CIPS or equivalent professional procurement qualification.
• Experience in global, matrixed organizations and cross-regional sourcing governance.
• Familiarity with digital transformation, cloud, AI, and automation-driven IT service delivery.
• Experience with Coupa, Ariba, or similar procurement technology platforms.
• German, French, or another European language.
