What you will do
- Process housing benefit and council tax changes according to established procedures.
- Handle customer enquiries by letter, email, and telephone while meeting service requirements.
- Maintain high productivity and accuracy against KPI, Right Time Indicator, Right Benefit Indicator, and subsidy standards.
- Work independently to meet deadlines and manage a consistently high workload.
- Coach and mentor junior colleagues and lead knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Keep technical and regulatory knowledge current and contribute ideas to improve service delivery.
Requirements
- Experience in revenues processing and telephony.
- Experience using NEC, Academy, or IBS (Civica) systems.
- Working knowledge of housing benefits and council tax.
- Strong problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills.
- IT competence, self-motivation, and a flexible approach to working under pressure.
- Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK; documentary evidence is required.

- Interest in cross-skilling into additional central government services.
