Senior Data Architect

Location: Toronto, ON — Queen's Quay Headquarters; hybrid, 3 days per week

Salary: CAD 96,200–120,200 per year, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus

hirify.global is a large consumer packaged goods company with a global operations function and enterprise data architecture organization.

What you will do

• Design and develop domain-specific data products and data solutions for analytical and decision intelligence use cases.
• Create source data, master data, and semantic models, including schemas, table definitions, column specifications, and conceptual, logical, and physical ERDs.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions in collaboration with product owners, data stewards, BI engineers, data scientists, application owners, and end users.
• Support data engineering and BI engineering teams during implementation, review model development, and approve deployments.
• Document data architecture artifacts and contribute to architecture standards, guidelines, best practices, and peer reviews.
• Improve data quality and model reliability through collaboration with governance and data stewardship functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing scalable, high-performance, reusable data models.
• Strong background in data warehouse implementation and data modeling tools such as ERWIN or ER/Studio.
• Experience with data engineering orchestration frameworks, ELT tools, and Python libraries including dbt, pandas, and Great Expectations.
• Experience designing semantic models for BI and AI requirements and translating business needs into data architecture and data product designs.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and working with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Nice to have

• Certifications in data management, data modeling, or cloud services.
• Consumer packaged goods experience and knowledge of domain-specific concepts.
