Senior Data Scientist (Databricks Genie & AI Analytics): Building AI-powered analytics solutions on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform to enable natural-language data access and accelerate decision-making with an accent on Databricks Genie, semantic modeling, and governed datasets. Focus on developing RAG, LLM, and AI-agent use cases, optimizing Genie spaces, and maintaining data pipelines, workflows, and dashboards.
Location: Ashburn, Virginia, United States (hybrid)

What you will do
- Design, develop, and deploy analytics and machine learning solutions using Databricks.
- Configure and optimize Databricks Genie spaces for natural-language access to enterprise data.
- Develop semantic models, business metadata, and governance processes to improve AI-generated responses.
- Maintain Databricks notebooks, workflows, dashboards, and data pipelines.
- Collaborate with data engineers to provide high-quality, governed datasets for Genie and AI applications.
- Support retrieval-augmented generation, LLM, and AI-agent use cases.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required. Current CBP/DHS clearance is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree and ten years of professional information technology experience.
- At least five years of experience in data science, machine learning, advanced analytics, or AI/ML engineering.
- At least two years of hands-on Databricks experience, including configuring and administering Databricks Genie.
- Strong Python, SQL, and PySpark skills, with experience in semantic layers, data models, metadata, and structured and unstructured datasets.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
