Senior Backend Software Engineer (Golang)

Location: Office-based in Limassol, Cyprus. Relocation support is available for the employee and family, including flights, housing, visas, and legal assistance.

What you will do

• Build core features for a new in-house CRM system powering internal business operations.
• Develop clean, secure, efficient, scalable, and resilient backend services in Go.
• Work with microservices, gRPC, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, REST APIs, testing, and CI/CD.
• Address complex architecture, performance, latency, fault-tolerance, and technical-debt challenges in high-load environments.
• Conduct code reviews, improve engineering standards, documentation, testing practices, and automation.
• Mentor engineers transitioning from other languages to Go and contribute to interviews, onboarding, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend software development experience, including at least 3 years of commercial Go experience.
• Strong knowledge of SOLID, Domain-Driven Design, Clean Architecture, microservice patterns, concurrency, asynchronous development, and high-throughput system design.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, REST APIs, and gRPC.
• Experience building reliable and scalable services, including design, APIs, storage, unit and integration testing, CI/CD, debugging, profiling, and optimization.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, operating systems, monitoring, networking, virtualization, and containerization.
• English level: B2+. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is required.

• Exposure to Temporal, Traefik, Keycloak, or basic Terraform.
