TL;DR
Security Operations Analyst (Cybersecurity): Detecting, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity threats across enterprise systems, networks, cloud environments, and applications with an accent on incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, and security control improvement. Focus on conducting threat hunts, coordinating enterprise-scale investigations, prioritizing remediation, and building detection, reporting, and automation capabilities.

What you will do
- Monitor security events and investigate malware, account compromise, insider threats, phishing, unauthorized access, and data security incidents.
- Coordinate incident response across technical and business teams, including containment, eradication, recovery, evidence collection, and lessons learned.
- Conduct threat hunting and improve detection capabilities across SIEM, EDR/XDR, and related security technologies.
- Manage vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, secure code reviews, red team exercises, and remediation tracking.
- Evaluate security controls, develop operational metrics and dashboards, and support audit, compliance, and regulatory initiatives.
- Contribute to security architecture reviews, standards, policies, procedures, playbooks, and cross-functional security improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Five or more years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, incident response, or threat management.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams during cybersecurity incidents.
- Strong understanding of operating systems, applications, networking, cloud platforms, mobile technologies, endpoint security, and identity and access management.
- Experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, and security monitoring technologies.
- Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, prioritization, and pressure-management skills.
Nice to have
- Certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GCFA, CISA, CEH, OSCP, or Security+.
- Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience with enterprise-scale investigations, business intelligence, reporting, data analytics, Python, PowerShell, SOAR, threat intelligence, digital forensics, or cloud-native security.
- Experience applying artificial intelligence, machine learning, or neural networks to cybersecurity operations.
