Assistant Shop Manager (Sports Retail)

Location: Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia; onsite retail role with full-time shift work, including weekends and public holidays. Open to relocation.

What you will do

• Assist in leading, training, motivating, and supervising the outlet team across all departments.
• Support the Shop Manager in achieving daily and monthly sales targets and executing promotions.
• Oversee customer service, shop operations, SOP compliance, product displays, and visual merchandising.
• Monitor stock deliveries, processing, stock takes, tills reports, and cash collection.
• Conduct daily briefings, provide product and policy updates, and communicate with Head Office and relevant departments.
• Review staff performance, support talent retention, and address maintenance, cleanliness, and suspicious activities in the shop.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a reputable retail company of similar size.
• Certificate or Diploma in Retail Management or a relevant discipline.
• Proven leadership and management experience with a team of at least 10 people.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work long hours, weekends, public holidays, and shifts.
