Sr. Platform Engineer - Kubernetes (Remote)

Location: USA - Remote. The role requires eligibility for CJIS clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status, plus periodic background and fingerprint checks.

Base salary: $140,000–$215,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses and equity grants.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable hybrid multi-cloud Kubernetes platform solutions.
• Optimize and maintain highly reliable large-scale infrastructure platforms.
• Evaluate and integrate open-source technologies into existing workflows.
• Provide technical direction for the evolution of Kubernetes infrastructure services.
• Mentor less-senior engineers and support collaborative infrastructure decisions.

Requirements

• Eligibility for CJIS clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status.
• 5+ years of Kubernetes experience, including managing clusters with thousands of nodes.
• Experience with Prometheus, Thanos, Alertmanager, Golang, and large-scale Linux environments.
• Experience operating AWS, GCP, and OCI clouds, as well as custom data centers.
• Ability to manage on-call shifts.
• Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.

• Experience writing Kubernetes operators.
• Experience working effectively with local and remote teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
