What you will do

• Perform hands-on laboratory analysis of crude oil, fuel oils, middle distillates, petroleum, petrochemicals, LPG, and LNG gases.
• Operate gas chromatographs and other laboratory equipment.
• Apply current laboratory analysis, safety, and reporting methods.
• Provide guidance and maintain appropriate training levels for laboratory technicians, including supervisory duties when required.
• Prepare protocols and reports and complete additional laboratory responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Chemistry or a related science with 5+ years of experience in a regulated commercial laboratory, or a bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a similar discipline with 7+ years of laboratory experience.
• At least 1 year of protocol and report writing experience.
• Advanced knowledge of routine and non-routine testing methods and ASTM standards.
• Ability to work with chemical, petrochemical, and petroleum products and accurately differentiate colors by sight.
• Strong communication, analytical, accuracy, organization, and pressure-management skills.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of continuous standing, movement, and hand use in a laboratory environment.
