What you will do
- Provide strategic leadership as a member of the University Executive, reporting to the Vice-Chancellor.
- Lead and advocate for the Faculty of Arts and Education internally and externally.
- Strengthen excellence and innovation across research and teaching while supporting staff and students.
- Apply strategic, management, and financial acumen to support 530 staff and more than 7,000 students.
- Develop relationships with government, industry, arts and education communities, institutional partners, and wider communities.
- Grow philanthropic opportunities and deepen relationships with major donors, trusts, and corporates.
Requirements
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with significant leadership experience.
- Academic eminence and a strong commitment to world-class research and education.
- Experience fostering collegiality, collaboration, trust, excellence, innovation, and inclusion.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, including the obligations of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Understanding of, or commitment to developing knowledge of, Māori culture, systems of knowledge, and New Zealand's place in the Pacific.
