Store Manager - Peoples Jewellers - Seaway Mall

Location: Canada - Seaway Mall - Welland, ON. Full-time, onsite store role with a regular five-day, 40-hour schedule during non-peak periods, including opening and closing shifts, weekends, evenings, holidays, and extended hours during peak selling periods.

Base pay: CAD 58,240–72,800 per year, plus commission on sales. Final pay is based on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Lead the daily operations of a single store and achieve sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, inventory control, and brand representation goals.
• Personally sell products and ensure an exceptional customer experience through training, outreach, follow-up, and issue resolution.
• Coach, develop, and motivate assistant managers, jewellery consultants, sales support, and inventory control team members.
• Execute corporate initiatives, visual merchandising standards, marketing programs, and operational policies.
• Review reports, identify trends and root causes, and implement plans to improve sales, margins, expenses, payroll, and store performance.
• Collaborate with other Signet store managers and communicate competitor activity, merchandise needs, and business opportunities to management.

Requirements

• At least three years of retail sales experience, or two years of retail sales experience plus at least one year of retail management experience.
• Minimum of two years of college preferred.
• Advanced written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict-management skills.
• Proficiency with computers, MS Office, and related business, technology, and communication tools.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, delegate, work independently, meet deadlines, and explain detailed information.
• Ability to stand, move between display cases, handle merchandise, and lift or move up to 10 pounds; visual acuity must support assessing gemstone quality.

• Specialty retail or jewellery experience.
• Diamond Council of America certification.
