PPO Safety Engineer

Location: Taichung, Taichung City, Taiwan; onsite, full time

What you will do

• Establish, maintain, and improve departmental safety management systems and work processes.
• Supervise construction safety activities, conduct site inspections, and track corrective actions through closure.
• Prepare and review job safety reviews, risk assessments, and safety plans for lifting, work at height, confined spaces, excavation, and energy isolation.
• Manage site access, work permits, contractor coordination, hazard communication, and safety training.
• Maintain Safe Work Permit qualifications and perform permit issuance activities in hirify.global work areas.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis, prepare reports, and analyze safety performance data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Class B Occupational Safety and Health Management Technician certificate and at least three years of relevant experience.
• Experience coordinating and executing project engineering activities.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, including cross-functional collaboration and on-site issue resolution.
• Proficiency in report preparation and general administrative documentation.
• Basic English reading and writing skills, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel domestically for short-term assignments.

Nice to have

• Hands-on safety management experience at TSMC, Micron, or other high-tech manufacturing facilities.
