Sr Embedded Software Engineer

Location: Kallithea, Athens, Greece; onsite, with remote work unavailable

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded platform software for hirify.global devices, including low-level drivers, middleware, and RTOS integration.
• Own software quality from design reviews through verification and testing.
• Write, test, and document embedded software.
• Plan and schedule individual tasks, contribute to team planning, and report progress to the project lead.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and provide technical supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of embedded software development experience in consumer electronics, automotive, medical, or a similar domain.
• Strong C programming skills and experience designing software for deeply embedded, resource-constrained platforms.
• Hands-on experience with 8/16/32-bit MCU architectures, including ARM Cortex-M.
• Experience across the software engineering lifecycle, including verification and testing against specifications and requirements.
• Experience debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, multimeters, and JTAG/SWD debuggers.

Nice to have

• MCAL development, AUTOSAR System Services, or safety-certified RTOS kernels such as SafeRTOS and AUTOSAR OS.
• ISO 26262, ASIL B–D, or ASPICE experience.
• MISRA C and static analysis experience.
• AI-assisted development experience.
