Data Governance Specialist (Microsoft Azure)

Location: Bogotá – La Caro, Bogotá, Colombia; hybrid work model. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Salary: COP 7,000,000–10,000,000 per month

What you will do

• Define and implement data governance policies, standards, and retention requirements.
• Identify critical data sources and maintain data inventories and documentation.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance across enterprise systems.
• Support backup, archiving, and data storage strategies, including Microsoft Azure storage.
• Collaborate with IT on network segmentation and data protection initiatives.
• Create standard operating procedures and support continuous improvement of data governance processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or similar roles.
• Experience managing critical business data and backup systems in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of data backup and archiving processes, plus experience with Microsoft Azure File Share and Blob Storage.
• Advanced English proficiency required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and independent-working skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication or GoodSync.
• Understanding of network segmentation and firewall concepts.
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification.
• Additional language skills.
