Senior Staff Digital Field Applications Engineer (Automotive) (Embedded Processing): Supporting automotive customers across Europe by providing digital MCU and SoC expertise from design development through mass production with an accent on customer applications, embedded processing, and technical business development. Focus on solving complex customer challenges, identifying target projects, and coordinating solutions with sales, account management, and internal application teams.
Location: Munich, Germany. Full-time onsite role; remote work is not available. The position involves travel within the assigned customer territory.

What you will do
- Support automotive key customers in Europe as a technical advisor for digital MCU and SoC applications.
- Provide in-depth design and development support to solve customer challenges and win new business.
- Promote the digital portfolio, including embedded processing and high-performance computing solutions.
- Drive opportunities from demand creation through mass production in cooperation with sales and internal business divisions.
- Work with account management, analog and power FAE, and connectivity FAE teams to build customer relationships.
- Travel within the assigned territory to support customers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience and strong technical knowledge of embedded processing.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technical Computer Science, with knowledge of microcontroller applications.
- Hands-on programming experience with C, C++, and Python, plus experience with Linux.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, identify key projects, and recommend technical solutions.
- Very good command of English and the local language, as well as mobility for customer travel, is required.
Nice to have
- Hardware design experience with tools such as Altium Designer.
- Familiarity with e² Studio, ST Cube, Espressif ESP-IDF, or Eclipse.
