What you will do
- Own P&L performance, annual budgets, three-year plans, sales growth, EBITA, and profitability targets.
- Set and execute the local business strategy, develop new services and market segments, and create cross-selling opportunities with regional laboratories.
- Improve laboratory operations, productivity, IT and LIMS usage, technical capabilities, quality standards, and accreditation coverage.
- Lead commercial development, client relationships, government and industry stakeholder engagement, and market positioning in Vietnam’s environmental services sector.
- Build and retain a high-performing leadership team through hiring, development, succession planning, KPIs, and hands-on performance management.
- Ensure compliance with legal, financial, health and safety, environmental, regulatory, governance, and ethical requirements in Vietnam and within the group.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10–15+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles such as General Manager, Managing Director, Country Head, or Business Unit Head.
- Experience leading organizations of 50+ employees in an MNC or international business environment.
- Background in environmental testing, environmental consulting, compliance, industrial chemicals, water treatment, food safety testing, life sciences, industrial hygiene, or technical consulting.
- Strong understanding of business operations, P&L management, and global matrix organizations.
- Native Vietnamese and professional fluency in English, written and spoken.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Vietnamese environmental regulations and testing standards.
- Experience working with MoNRE, DONRE, industrial zones, government authorities, MNCs, or international organizations.
- Experience with CAP, ISO 17025, VILAS, MoNRE, or other relevant quality accreditations.
- Relevant experience in an adjacent industry with the ability to develop environmental domain expertise quickly.
