Location: Richland, Washington, United States. Work is predominantly on-site at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site, with some remote support available only as approved by the Contracting Officer. Field work requires PPE.

What you will do
- Conduct safety assessments and inspections across Hanford facilities.
- Oversee compliance with safety programs, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide safety oversight for the Waste Treatment Plant and other Hanford operations.
- Support incident investigations, compliance analysis, reporting, and safety performance tracking.
- Develop safety performance dashboards and provide guidance on nuclear safety and quality assurance.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary safety, environmental, engineering, security, training, and regulatory support functions.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of experience in safety or security oversight.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety or Industrial Hygiene.
- Experience with safety inspections, compliance analysis, and reporting.
- Ability to provide observation, coaching, and vigilant oversight in a regulated, high-stakes environment.
- Ability to work predominantly on-site at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, Washington.
- Facility Clearance is required; DOE clearance may be required depending on the assigned work.
Nice to have
- Environmental Management sector experience.
- U.S. Department of Energy experience.
- CSP or CIH certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, or Visio.
