Location: Washington, DC, United States; full-time on-site role. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates moving to the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Base compensation: $200,000–$275,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, education, competencies, and local market.

What you will do
- Lead planning and delivery of major airport terminal design, redevelopment, and expansion programs.
- Act as the primary executive interface with airport owners, program management teams, contractors, design partners, and other stakeholders.
- Direct multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, planners, and specialty consultants.
- Develop execution strategies addressing cost, schedule, quality, governance, reporting, and risk.
- Provide executive oversight across planning, design, procurement, and construction support.
- Mentor project managers and technical leaders while supporting client relationships, business development, and strategic growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, planning, or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of progressive experience delivering major aviation infrastructure projects.
- Leadership experience on large airport terminal design programs in the United States or internationally.
- Experience managing complex multidisciplinary consultant teams and concurrent workstreams.
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, technical credibility, and commercial awareness.
- Understanding of airport planning, terminal design, passenger experience, operational requirements, and alternative delivery methods such as Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CMAR, or P3.
Nice to have
- Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, or AICP certification.
- Experience with major international hub airports and terminal programs valued at hundreds of millions or billions of dollars.
- Relationships with North American airport owners and aviation stakeholders.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed project teams.
