Information Security Engineer (AI Security)

Location: Cleveland, OH, United States; onsite full-time

Base pay range: $95,000–$115,000 per year

What you will do

• Perform vendor risk assessments for new and existing vendors, including AI vendors, AI workloads, data flows, model and data supply chains, and agentic or MCP integrations.
• Evaluate security alerting and develop security automation using scripting, AI coding assistants, MCP servers, and detection engineering practices.
• Develop security policies, runbooks, incident reports, penetration-testing analyses, and AI governance documentation.
• Build monitoring capabilities, integrate security feeds, and detect shadow AI, AI tool usage, and data egress.
• Investigate security breaches and incidents, determine escalation requirements, and document response activities and lessons learned.
• Provide guidance on OWASP development practices, privacy, network security, vulnerability management, and security framework compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent of 3–5 years of information security experience.
• Advanced scripting and automation skills with PowerShell and Bash.
• Experience with security issues and techniques across computer, cloud, and IaaS platforms, including infrastructure, network, and multiplatform environments.
• Working knowledge of AI and large language model security, including prompt injection, data-as-code trust boundaries, autonomous-system authorization, and AI model and data supply chains.
• Familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 for LLM and Agentic Applications, NIST AI Risk Management Framework, and MITRE ATLAS.
• Ability to work onsite in Cleveland, Ohio, and travel as necessary for less than 10% of the time.

Nice to have

• Professional security certification such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, a SANS cybersecurity certification, or CISA.
