What you will do
- Lead one or more manufacturing value streams across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and workforce performance targets.
- Improve schedule attainment, production flow, lead time, process time, WIP, inventory, and resource utilization.
- Establish daily management routines, KPI reviews, tier meetings, escalation paths, and disciplined execution.
- Partner with Operational Excellence and Industrial Engineering to deliver value-stream roadmaps, continuous improvement, and data-driven KPIs.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Customer Service, and warehouse/logistics teams to resolve constraints and protect delivery.
- Lead budgets, cost drivers, safety and environmental compliance, incident response, performance management, and business continuity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a manufacturing-related field.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, including leadership through supervisors.
- 7–10 years of experience in low-volume, high-mix, engineered and built-to-order manufacturing or comparable environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S/6S, 3P/5P, structured problem-solving, and measurable improvement delivery.
- Experience with customized engineered products and the ability to analyze situations, make decisions, coach employees, and collaborate across departments.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment involving standing, stooping, PC use, and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
Nice to have
- Experience in the power equipment industry.
- Experience with ERP systems such as JDE.
- Green Belt certification or higher.
- Experience with data-driven daily management, KPI systems, warehouse/logistics coordination, and material flow.
