Senior Payment Operations Specialist (Banking)

Location: Columbus, OH, United States; full-time on-site schedule. Scheduled hours: 8:30–5:00 PST.

Compensation: $26.40–$32.61 per hour for new hires in Henderson, NV; the amount depends on the specific job location. Annual bonus or incentives may also apply.

What you will do

• Process, verify, and review payment transactions across multiple payment rails, including higher-risk and non-standard activity.
• Research payment issues and resolve complex exceptions, returns, and escalated inquiries within defined authority levels.
• Document analysis and recommendations and escalate issues to leadership when appropriate.
• Collaborate with branches, Treasury Management, Client Support, Risk, Compliance, and Operations leadership.
• Apply regulatory, fraud, and risk controls and identify recurring issues for continuous improvement.
• Support teammates through subject-matter guidance, mentoring, training, and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• 3+ years of related experience in financial services, payment operations, or a similar field.
• High school diploma required; some college or technical training preferred.
• Entry-level to intermediate knowledge of banking operations, electronic payments, exception handling, transaction research, and customer account support.
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory, legal, and industry requirements.
• Ability to apply risk, fraud, and compliance controls while meeting strict deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
• Sound judgment under time-sensitive conditions and intermediate written and verbal communication skills.
