What you will do
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex automotive semiconductor agreements, including framework, IP licensing, supply, quality, cost-sharing, and buffer-stock arrangements.
- Lead commercial negotiations covering deal strategy, liability caps, IP indemnification, pricing mechanics, and risk allocation.
- Coordinate with Sales, Finance, engineering, and senior commercial stakeholders during high-value negotiations.
- Advise on automotive regulatory and compliance matters, including export controls and connected-vehicle regulations, and support related audits.
- Develop consistent contracting standards and negotiation playbooks with legal colleagues across EMEA, the US, and APAC.
- Help establish the automotive legal function and manage legal risk for the automotive business.
Requirements
- Fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist/in) with solid results in both German state law examinations.
- 6+ years of in-house experience in automotive, semiconductors, or a similar business environment.
- Experience negotiating complex, high-value supply agreements and working internationally.
- Strong business judgment, commercial awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in deadline-driven negotiations and work effectively across US and APAC time zones.
- Fluent German and English, verbally and in writing, required.
