Compliance Engineer (Regulatory Compliance): Ensuring products, processes, and operations meet national and international standards through compliance testing, certification, documentation, and risk mitigation with an accent on regulatory approvals, product integrity, and cross-functional engineering collaboration. Focus on coordinating laboratory testing, maintaining technical files, supporting audits, and integrating compliance requirements into new product development.

What you will do
- Ensure products and processes comply with national and international standards, including UL, CE, FCC, ISO, RoHS, REACH, and related requirements.
- Coordinate and perform compliance testing, work with third-party certification bodies, and oversee regulatory approvals.
- Maintain drawings, specifications, test reports, technical files, compliance documentation, and regulatory submissions.
- Identify compliance risks, recommend corrective actions, and support internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply, and NPD teams to integrate compliance requirements into product design and validation.
- Develop compliance procedures, policies, training, and process improvements while communicating with regulatory agencies and industry groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in compliance engineering, regulatory affairs, quality, or product certification.
- Knowledge of UL, CSA, FCC, CE, ISO 9001/14001, REACH, RoHS, compliance testing, laboratory environments, and regulatory documentation.
- Understanding of mechanical engineering, materials, mechanics, fluids, thermodynamics, heat transfer, electrical circuits, microelectronic assembly, statistical methods, and process control.
- Familiarity with welding, brazing, soldering, adhesive bonding, machining, stamping, molding, forming, assembly, and material-handling processes.
- Strong analytical, communication, organization, planning, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance or document-management tools.
