Compliance Engineer

Location: Aguascalientes, Mexico; full-time, onsite role

What you will do

• Ensure products and processes comply with national and international standards, including UL, CE, FCC, ISO, RoHS, and REACH.
• Coordinate and perform compliance testing, work with third-party certification bodies, and oversee regulatory approvals.
• Maintain compliance documentation, test reports, technical files, product drawings, specifications, and regulatory submissions.
• Identify compliance risks, recommend corrective actions, and support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply, and cross-functional New Product Development teams.
• Lead mechanical design activities and support prototype builds, production validation, process improvement, and compliance training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in compliance engineering, regulatory affairs, quality, product certification, compliance testing, laboratory environments, or regulatory documentation.
• Knowledge of standards and regulations including UL, CSA, FCC, CE, ISO 9001/14001, REACH, and RoHS.
• Understanding of mechanical engineering, materials, mechanics, fluids, thermodynamics, heat transfer, electrical circuits, microelectronic assembly, statistical methods, process control, and product testing.
• Familiarity with welding, brazing, soldering, adhesive bonding, machining, stamping, molding, forming, plastics processing, assembly, and material handling.
• Strong communication, organization, planning, time management, analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and interpersonal skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant engineering and compliance tools.
