What you will do
- Provide a visible armed security presence and perform routine and specialized security duties across corporate premises.
- Conduct patrols, building and grounds inspections, access-point checks, and surveillance monitoring.
- Respond to dispatched incidents, workplace threats, emergencies, and medical situations as a first responder.
- Investigate incidents, collect and preserve evidence, prepare reports, and present cases to law enforcement and state attorneys.
- Operate radios, security equipment, firearms, and other tools used by the in-house security force.
- Support special events and cooperate with law enforcement and other security departments.
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent, plus 10–15 years of progressively responsible law enforcement or military police experience, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Florida Class D and Class G Security Licenses required, or obtainable within 120 days after hire.
- CPR and First Aid certifications, or ability to obtain them within 120 days after hire.
- Current firearm proficiency and all required licenses must be maintained.
- Ability to assess threats, handle stressful situations, communicate effectively, work independently and collaboratively, and lift up to 20 pounds.
