Specialist - Alumni Engagement

Location: Minneapolis, MN, USA; hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week, Monday–Thursday

Salary: USD 20.51–36.09 per hour

What you will do

• Recruit, train, coordinate, and steward alumni volunteers for mentorship, storytelling, events, and student-success initiatives.
• Conduct volunteer intake calls, assess interests and fit, and guide alumni toward suitable engagement opportunities.
• Create volunteer communications, briefing materials, talking points, program updates, and alumni stories for different audiences.
• Plan and support virtual and in-person alumni events, including receptions, reunions, campus visits, conferences, and commencements.
• Manage the alumni inbox and serve as a responsive point of contact for alumni members and champions.
• Track engagement and return on investment in the alumni CRM, maintain database accuracy, and prepare progress reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; business management, marketing, or communications coursework is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in higher education, volunteer management, and/or alumni engagement.
• Experience writing, editing, and designing content for multiple media and audiences.
• Ability to develop, direct, and coordinate multiple programs and initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills for virtual and in-person interaction.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends; CRM experience is preferred.
