TL;DR
Deputy General Manager (GTL) (Industrial Gas Operations): Supporting strategic and operational leadership of a large GTL facility in Karshi across operations, engineering, maintenance, EHS, commercial activities, and customer relationships with an accent on safety, reliability, compliance, and profitability. Focus on coordinating multidisciplinary teams, driving operational excellence and cost optimisation, and leading improvement initiatives involving SMR and ASU technologies.
Location: Karshi, Uzbekistan; onsite at the GTL facility. Relocation to Karshi is required.

What you will do
- Support the General Manager in delivering strategic and operational objectives.
- Coordinate annual operating plans, budgets, and improvement initiatives.
- Align Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Commercial, and support functions.
- Drive operational excellence, asset reliability, performance improvement, and process compliance.
- Lead cross-functional projects focused on safety, efficiency, and cost optimisation.
- Manage stakeholder, customer, and partner relationships while supporting talent development and succession planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 15 years of leadership experience in industrial, petrochemical, refining, manufacturing, or energy facilities.
- Experience leading complex operations and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of asset reliability, maintenance, operational excellence, and safety management systems.
- Experience with SMR and ASU technologies is essential.
- Fluent English and willingness to relocate to Karshi, Uzbekistan are required.
Nice to have
- Russian and/or Uzbek language skills.
- MBA or master’s degree.
- PMP, Certified Reliability Leader, CMRP, Lean Six Sigma, Process Safety Management, IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent certifications.
