TL;DR
QA Functional Engineer (Web/Mobile/API Testing): Designing and executing manual and basic automated functional tests across web, mobile, and API layers with an accent on requirements traceability, test documentation, and defect management. Focus on validating REST APIs, preparing test environments and data, and improving QA practices within Agile teams.

Location: Hybrid work setup in Rabat or Casablanca, Morocco

What you will do

  • Analyse functional requirements, define test approaches, and maintain traceability between requirements and test coverage.
  • Design, document, and execute manual and basic automated functional tests across web, mobile, and API layers.
  • Prepare test environments and data while improving QA tools, practices, and methodologies.
  • Identify, report, and track defects in collaboration with development, product, and business teams.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and support knowledge sharing with junior testers.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in functional testing and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Solid experience with manual functional testing for web and/or mobile applications, including clear test cases, executions, and reports.
  • Understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML, and API validation using Postman or similar tools.
  • Experience with test management tools such as Jira, Xray, TestLink, or HP ALM, and collaboration tools including Confluence and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, an analytical and structured mindset, autonomy, and strong communication skills in English.
  • Basic automation knowledge with Selenium, Karate, Katalon, or similar tools, plus multi-device testing experience.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to CMS or ERP environments such as Drupal or Hybris/HMC.
  • ISTQB certification.
