TL;DR
AI Engineer (LATAM, RSA) (AI automation/Python/Node): Building production AI automation systems for WordPress development, content generation, and agentic pipelines with an accent on LLM integrations, tool use, and workflow orchestration. Focus on designing agentic workflows, connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace, and internal CMS systems, and shipping reliable internal tools.
Location: Remote from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, or South Africa. Phoenix, AZ timezone preferred but not required; MST (UTC-7) or East Coast Hours.
Employment: Full-time contract engagement, with a potential conversion based on performance.

What you will do
- Own and ship the internal AI automation roadmap.
- Build agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalent frameworks.
- Integrate Anthropic and OpenAI APIs, including function calling, tool use, and streaming.
- Develop internal tools that reduce manual work across design and development production.
- Build automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace, and internal CMS and component libraries.
- Implement MCP server integrations as part of the broader AI stack.
Requirements
- 2+ years of production software development experience with Python or Node.
- Hands-on experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
- Proven OpenAI or Anthropic API integration experience, including function calling, tool use, and streaming.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and basic cloud deployment.
- Solid version control practices.
- English proficiency sufficient for async written communication with a US-based team.
Nice to have
- WordPress or PHP experience.
- Familiarity with Figma APIs or design tooling.
- Google Apps Script or Workspace automation experience.
- Experience in web production, digital agencies, or similar environments.
- Experience with n8n, Make, or similar workflow automation platforms.
