What you will do

• Manage a caseload of participants through counseling, mentoring, referrals, employment planning, and ongoing case management.
• Assess competencies, work history, education, skills, and barriers to employment, then help participants identify solutions and short- and long-term goals.
• Conduct individual meetings, workshops, classroom instruction, job-readiness activities, and follow-up outreach.
• Connect participants with training, education, employment services, employers, and local community resources.
• Monitor attendance, accountability, employment retention, advancement, assignments, and progress toward self-sufficiency.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper records, assessments, participant files, supportive-service logs, and program-system documentation.

Requirements

• Related associate degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience.
• Related professional experience; one to three years in workforce development or related programs is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with business customers and colleagues.
• Familiarity with the communities served, including local needs and resources.
• Ability to work with people from varied cultural, language, educational, and economic backgrounds in a classroom setting.
