What you will do
- Own the architecture transformation of the existing Data Platform into a next-generation platform integrated with ’s informatics products.
- Lead the architecture of a new genomics Data Platform and contribute to cross-product software architecture and integrations.
- Provide architectural oversight for the delivery of informatics platforms and software products, including planning and resource allocation.
- Champion AI-assisted and AI-native software development practices.
- Collaborate across engineering, software instruments, informatics, product, and global teams in Singapore, the US, and Belgium.
- Help build a Singapore software center of excellence, contribute to product strategy, and participate in the software leadership team.
Requirements
- 12+ years of hands-on experience developing software architecture for large, complex solutions.
- Experience using AI tools to develop software and architecture, including work in an AI-native development environment.
- Experience taking conceptual research through development to a commercially viable product.
- Strong architectural vision, analytical, communication, presentation, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience managing senior engineering professionals and connecting detailed technical analysis to broader strategy.
- Typically, 15+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 12 years with a Master’s degree, or 8 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud hyperscalers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and life sciences software.
- Experience delivering data pipeline and workflow orchestration systems.
- Experience with population-scale genomics, biobanks, scientific data platforms, bioinformatics, or computational biology.
- Experience in FDA-regulated environments or life sciences quality management systems.
- Partner- or customer-facing delivery experience on complex technical engagements.
